Do you believe in miracles? Do you? Really believe? I guess it could be a coincidence that I started in Springer Mt, Georgia 4 months ago and somehow ended up on a ski mountain in Vermont on the day one year later that my son, a ski lift mechanic, was killed. Or maybe it is a coincidence that our campsite now overlooks Killington ski runs. Well how about this:
After hiking 18 miles I was a physical and emotional basket case. My lower GI was having its way with me and being on the ski mountain was cathartic to say the least. So when I took off my pack to set up camp and found that my tent poles were gone, my reactions were not exactly Christ like. I started to run back down the mountain and would not likely return until after dark. 25 yards into the woods my tent pole bag hung from a mere nub on a branch by the trail as if someone picked them up and hung them there. Tiger Bob was walking 5 yards behind me and never saw them. I don’t believe in ghosts but I do believe in angels. Do you? Do you really?
About 15 minutes later Sonic, a young hiker was standing about 30 yards from our site, her eyes closed, her face to the clouds, listening to Christian music. I ran to her to tell her my story and she told me she stopped at this place because she felt angels all around her. Do you believe?
Cool, I believe.
