Another day, another mountain, another 20 miles closer to Katahdin. 4 weeks, that is what I tell myself lately. 400+ miles seems too far,1 month seems too long and even 2 states seem to be 2 many. But 4 weeks? I can do 4 weeks.
My usual knee joint pain was alive and kicking my butt, well so to speak, in the morning. The trail was the typical root and rock affair. I began to think I would have to tell Tiger Bob to simply go on without me. But after stopping at a cabin with an observation deck and eating a chocolate bar, I seemed to rejuvenate and finished strong. We got a short resupply and now are camping beneath the towering pines of Vermont. I expect to be in New Hampshire tomorrow and possibly find a room to stay. Yesterday was incredibly exhaustive. Likely this morning I was still experiencing the aftershocks. But experiencing the love, prayers and support from friends and family has bolstered my energy and determination to finish strong, finish well and with conviction.
Through my reading while being a member of this nomadic tribe I have come to realize the importance of grace. Christ talked about it alot in the gospels and now Paul is doing the same with the new Christians both Jew and Gentle. I realize how important it is to be gracious out here with strangers, thru hikers, and just everyone I meet from the outset. There is just no time to be suspicious. Life is just too damn short.
1 Peter 5:10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
He will never leave us!
Thinking of you and continuing to pray for your safety.

Really proud of you and what you have accomplished! 4 weeks! You can do that hopping on one foot, but it would be safer and faster to use both feet to finish strong! Army Strong! God Bless.

Yes,yes, yes! There are no coincidences in God’s plan for us! Everything He has is for us when we believe in Him. “The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” I Thes. 5:28
